The QUARRY ACADEMY® seminar announces
2025 scholarship winner

The Quarry Academy team is proud to announce the winner of the 2025 Quarry Academy scholarship: Shara-Lynn Carter, a mining engineering student from the University of Kentucky. "It is an incredible honor, and I am very appreciative of your support and investment in my education and future in the mining industry. This scholarship will greatly assist me as I continue my studies in Mining Engineering, and I am very excited about the opportunities it provides,” says Shara-Lynn.

The Quarry Academy seminar, organized by Sandvik and Dyno Nobel, is designed for those who serve in the aggregate industry and teaches participants how to produce aggregates efficiently. David Jensen, Director of Strategic Industry Marketing, Global at Dyno Nobel says: “Since 2017, the Quarry Academy scholarship has helped support the development of young talent in our industry. She maintains excellent academic standing while working full time: a clear demonstration of resilience and commitment to the industry."
