Marcus Johansson is a Global Application Manager for Sandvik. He holds a PhD, MSc and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. Dr. Johansson has worked nine years in the industry - with the last two at Sandvik.

Marcus started his career as a PhD student working with multiple large mining companies, both as a student and a consultant. He has visited and worked with aggregate and mining sites on multiple continents. Marcus successfully defended his PhD in 2021 on the topics of “Applications of dynamic modeling in Crushing plants.”
Currently, he works for Sandvik with strategy and business development, focusing specifically on the Sandvik eco-efficient comminution and classification offering.

Marcus currently lives in Gothenburg, Sweden. In his free time, he enjoys long distance running and playing tennis.
