Zach Lombard is a Process Optimization Specialist with over two decades of experience in the aggregate and mining industry. Based in Svedala, Sweden, he leads performance development initiatives at Sandvik Rock Processing, driving data-driven process improvements and enabling global capabilities in crushing and screening.

He has a strong engineering background and extensive international experience across Africa, Australia, and Europe. Over his career, Zach has developed deep expertise in aggregate and mining plant operations, covering everything from process audits to crushing and screening plant design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. He has successfully led multidisciplinary teams and delivered complex engineering solutions for high-impact projects with clients such as AngloGold, Eurovia, Exxaro, FQM, LKAB, and Skanska.

He holds a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology and has earned certifications in project management and financial planning from the University of Cape Town, blending technical expertise with strategic insight.
